About The Lunse
I fix revenue engines for companies running HubSpot. Evaluator, strategist and builder in one. No handoffs.
I've spent over two decades in sales, marketing and business development, and more than ten years inside HubSpot. I live in Hershey, PA with my family. Here's the longer version.

Before consulting
Industries I've worked in
Two decades in sales, marketing and business development, and the problem never changed: A leadership meeting, a forecast nobody fully trusted, and someone chasing the team for deal updates.
Many of those years were at a sports and hospitality company with 31 revenue-generating departments across multiple locations: Youth and adult sports leagues, a fitness center, a hotel, restaurants, a conference center and sponsorships. Each one sold something different, to someone different, and it was all segmented through one HubSpot portal.
So when I sit down with your leadership team, I'm not guessing what you need from HubSpot. I know which report gets read and which one gets ignored. I know which fields a rep will fill in and which ones they'll skip. And I know what it costs when the number in the meeting is wrong.
The road here
2015
The free tools, back in the Sidekick days. I've been in HubSpot ever since.
2015 to 2021
I ran sales, marketing and business development teams, and HubSpot for all of them. I know what leadership actually needs from it, and what a team will and won't use.
September 2021
I launched my own consultancy as Evansly Road Consulting.
2021 to today
Five years as an independent consultant. Many of those portals were on their second or third try.
Today
A HubSpot Gold Solutions Partner. Same person, same work, and a name that says what the job is.
Why it's just me
You tell the project manager. The project manager tells the implementer. The implementer tells the project manager, and the project manager tells you. Every hop adds a delay, every retelling loses something, and the project manager often isn't technical enough to know what's actually happening. I see it all the time.
I built my business so that can't happen. The person you talk to is the person who builds it. I start with the foundation your growth sits on (your data, your properties, your process), and every decision goes in a design doc that's yours to keep.
No handoffs. Ever.We need demo requests routed to the right rep by territory.
They want lead routing.
Built round robin. Done.
It's live. Should be good.
That's not what we asked for.
You tell me. I build it. Nothing gets lost in between.
In their words
“Jonathan saved me lots of time, energy, and errors customizing HubSpot to meet our needs.”
“Our organization needed help with an existing HubSpot instance and Jonathan was able to successfully take over the HubSpot Admin responsibilities and help us with all of our needs.”
“Rather than assume anything about how we'd built things, he made sure to ask for clarity with a simple "was this intentional?" and talked it through with us instead of guessing.”
What Milton Hershey stood for
Milton Hershey didn't build a factory and walk away. He built the town around it and kept tending it for decades.
When he and Catherine couldn't have children of their own, they founded a school for children who needed one, and in 1918 he gave it his fortune. Today it's Milton Hershey School.
That's the standard I hold my work to: Build the foundation right, leave room to grow, and keep tending it.
My wife, Miranda, teaches 10th grade English at Milton Hershey School. Our daughter, Hailey, works for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, which is owned by the same trust that funds the school. Our son, Eljay, is a multi-sport high school athlete, so our family calendar is its own pipeline.
Built here. Built to last. The name
LUNZ. It rhymes with runs.
Milton Hershey was born a few miles from here into a Pennsylvania Dutch family. Lünse is the old-world word for linchpin, from the language his ancestors brought to these hills. It's the small pin that keeps a wagon wheel on its axle. Nobody notices it until it's missing, and then nothing moves.
That's the job. Most HubSpot portals I'm called into are on their second or third try. I make the next one the one that works, and after launch I stay on to keep your revenue engine running, for as long as you want me there.
The Lunse. Rhymes with runs.
Like your revenue engine should.
What drives me
Jonathan Snavely
Wait, is that background real?
Ha. Everybody asks. It's real. That's my office. Local Amish builders made it as a prefab shed and dropped it in the woods behind our house, and I ran the power and internet out to it. We live in the woods, but in Hershey. Not off the grid somewhere in Maine.
So what keeps a one-person shop going?
Three things that haven't changed:
And off the clock?
Cycling, camping and working in the woods. Then back to the wood walls you see on our calls.
